We Are Family is a non-profit organization that provides affirming spaces for LGBTQI+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning, intersex, etc.) and ally youth up to the age of 24 through direct support, leadership development, and community engagement.

AFFA’s mission: “To achieve, nurture, and defend equality and full acceptance for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) people. To dispel the myths and half-truths that trap us all – about economy, race, and origin; who we can and can’t be; who we can and can’t love; who’s entitled to freedom and expression, and who’s not; who’s valuable, and who’s expendable – and reveal our true essence and pride”

Stand with Trans helps trans youth build resilience, gain confidence and find hope for a future filled with joy.

“GSA Network’s Black Trans and Queer Space is a 6-month initiative centering the expertise and leadership of Black Trans and Queer youth who are organizing toward our liberated future, free from the violence toward Black and Trans folk while creating an environment for living as our authentic selves”

Trans Family Support Services fosters a supportive and inclusive hub of resources for trans individuals, familes of trans youth, and overall LGBTQ+ Community.


“CATS was founded in June of 2000. We are the longest running transgender support group in South Carolina. We offer a place where all members of the transgender community can gather to assist and support each other on our respective journeys. We are a non-restrictive group, welcoming everyone from the occasional crossdresser, to the gender fluid,non-binary, to trans women and men. If a person would feel more comfortable with a spouse or ally they are also welcome. Privacy, confidentiality, and discretion are expected and understood.”
